Jacob is an animal activist. When he and his friends raid an experimental facility they find much more than they bargained for . . . in the midst of the caged animals a teenaged girl is kept prisoner, abused, beaten and tortured. Jacob flees, but the raid results in the death of one of his friends . . . and then, the following morning, the disappearance of those remaining.

Jacob and his ex-girlfriend Maria manage to rescue the girl, Lila, but then their lives rapidly begin to change. Jacob’s nightmare visions of a horrendous alternate reality become stronger and more vivid, while Lila proves herself to be more than just a poor lost teenager. Much, much more.

Pursued by the girl’s captors, Jacob and Maria try to protect Lila, but they are overwhelmed in a terrible battle between supernatural forces. Maria is killed. Jacob and the girl escapes . . . but only briefly.

Lila vanishes. Jacob is told who he really is. Memories become reality, he finds his past is far, far different to the one he has believed all his life. . . And to top it all the world is about to end.
