and our quest to get rid of it

This room's problems

Our bedroom has become a laundry dumping ground. We are drowning in clothes, many of which are waiting to be put in a bag and donated to a local charity.

Some of the books have also found their way into our room. They were stashed there in an emergency (unexpected company came over and we had to do *something* about the living room!) but they are still here over a month later. I really want them out - this room was supposed to be a book free zone.

Updates

03/24/06: A party necessitated the removal of some book boxes from the living room into the bedroom, so in that respect things are worse. However, that huge pile next to the bed is gone and the only serious decluttering of mine left to do in here is the shelf above my closet. We moved my dresser and plan to put a desk for me where it used to be

02/19/06: The dirty laundry situation is under control now, and I'm making the bed every day. Those two things have greatly improved the look of this room. Next week the FlyLady zone is the master bedroom, so assuming I'm not busy getting the family room party-ready instead, there will be some big improvements made here. First order of business? Tackling the mountain of kids clothes and get them ready to donate or stick in the attic.
