• Polka Dot Radio costs us a monthly fee to operate, plus we spend money in the CD shops or mp3 stores online in order to keep an up-to-date selection playing.
• When I say "us" I mean me. (And to some extent, my family - who, on any given day, either enjoys the radio station as much as I do or puts up with it because I love it) I'm not a large, faceless corporation with unlimited cash. Without your financial support, I will have to spend my CD budget on the monthly Live365 fees. As a result, I will be forced to lead a life of crime and get all of the new music I need through illegal download sites. (Just kidding, folks, but the money does have to come from somewhere and I'm just unwealthy enough to feel the pinch.)
• I'm currently broadcasting with the smallest of Live365's Premium packages. I get enough storage space for about 7 hours of music. I would love to be able to upgrade to the next level and add another 3.5 hours to that total. That would give me a little more flexibility to add some special programming with music that may not be in the default playlist. It will take an extra $10/month to bump me up to the next level and I just can't swing it without donations.
